This Privacy Policy explains how Squatch Solutions, LLC. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use wOrbits (the "Game") at worbits.app. By creating an account or using the Game, you agree to the practices described here.

The short version: wOrbits is a hobby word game. We collect the minimum needed to log you in and save your progress. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone for marketing, and we will never send you marketing emails you did not ask for.

Information We Collect

• Account information: the email address and password you provide when you sign up. Your password is stored securely (hashed) by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
• Gameplay data: the words you find, scores, puzzles played, completion status, and your in-game settings (such as accent color and letter-wheel preferences), so your progress syncs across devices.
• Feedback you send us: if you use the feedback form, we receive whatever you choose to write, along with your account email.
• Basic technical data: standard information your browser sends automatically (such as IP address and browser type) that our host and service providers use for security and to keep the Game running.

We do not knowingly collect payment information, precise location, or any special categories of sensitive personal data.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account and log you in.
• To save and sync your game progress and settings.
• To respond to feedback and support requests.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Game.
• To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

Service Providers We Share Data With

We use trusted third-party services to run the Game. These providers process data only to provide their services to us, not for their own marketing:

• Supabase — provides our authentication and database. Your account email, password hash, and gameplay data are stored on Supabase's infrastructure. See Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• Our web host — serves the Game's pages and files.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or the security of the Game.

Cookies and Local Storage

wOrbits uses your browser's local storage and cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your settings and progress. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.

Data Retention

We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems, except where we are required to keep certain records by law.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. wOrbits honors these choices for all users regardless of location:

• Access or correct your data by contacting us.
• Delete your account and data at any time by contacting us at the email below (and, where available, using the in-game account deletion option).
• We will never sell your data or use your email for marketing, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Children's Privacy

wOrbits is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and our providers use industry- standard security. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the Game where practical.
